This tune was written by Ritchie Blackmore in 1997. I found the tab in an old issue of "Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine." It was written and performed on an acoustic 6-string guitar in standard tuning, with some ethereal keyboards in the background.

Some Thoughts on Tuning and Strings

I tend to think of the 12-string guitar as more of a baritone instrument. Some folks like the jangly sound of a 12-string tuned to concert pitch. As for me, I like them tuned lower.
Years ago, low tuned 12-strings were almost the norm. First of all, the instruments themselves were not sturdy enough to handle the tension of all of those strings. Tuning them low reduced the overall tension. Secondly, 12-string sets were not as common as they are now, so people had to make up sets… Continue
