No, never. Fruityloops can not work as talent. That's just an instrument, but without talent it's useless.

I actually don't buy 12-strings sets. I make my own using two 6-string sets - plus a couple of singles.
I either use a medium & extra-light set (current favorite) plus and extra 13 & 17, which gives me:
13/13, 17/17, 26/10, 35/14, 45/23w, 56/30

I have used the D'Angelico strings. Their gauging is weird, compared to other brands anyways. What they call a light would be a medium for most brands. What they call medium would be heavy, etc. I don't pay any attention to the name of the gauge and…
I have used the Elixir and John Pearse heavy sets and tuned to C. I didn't have the nerve to tune these sets to C#.
I've stopped using them now because I eventually wasn't happy with the tone they were giving me on my Taylor 355.
