12stringguitarist

A resource for lovers of the 12-string guitar

On September 26'th I went to see Leo Kottke perform at the Woodstock Opera House in Woodstock Illinois. This was my eight time seeing him there. He was really playing well that night and I could tell he was enjoying himself playing. He really was entertaining in all aspects. After the show I got to meet him again and briefly talked about 12 string guitar setup with him. He seemed to me to be a really geniune and down to earth sort of a person and I enjoyed talking with him. My wife took this photo of us.

At a much later date I tried to recall his set list. Here is what I remember. Not in order of the performance

OJO
LIVING IN THE COUNTRY
ANTS
WET FLOOR (NEW TUNE)
STANDING IN MY SHOES
CORRINA, CORRINA
DISCO
JACK FIG (LAST TUNE)
SAGINAW MICHIGAN
THEN
JULIE'S HOUSE
TWILIGHT TIME
RINGS (ENCORE)
ITCHY
LAST STEAM ENGINE TRAIN
LITTLE MARTHA

I think their was a few more but I can't remember.

He is really an inspiration to me with regards to my guitar playing and I thank him for the music he creates.
