John Wilson

Little Red Haired Boy (12-string/DADGAD)

A short take on a traditional tune. I do some alternating between the high octave strings and the 1st & 2nd strings to make this tune work.

I recently found out that this tune is also known as "The Little Beggar Man," but this title is what I've always known it as since I learned it. Like so many other tunes from the British Isles, this is probably known by many different names, depending on where you are.

The title fit me better when I was younger and actually had red hair. It is slowly turning gray, and hopefully I am gaining some wisdom along with it.

Played on my old Taylor 555, tuned to DADGAD, lowered three half steps to B.
